Who is the ACEP?
Founds in 1968, the American College of Emergency Physicians works hard to support over 25,000 ER doctors. This organization is dedicated to helping emergency room physicians through:
- Advocating for ER doctors and specialists
- Developing evidence-based clinical policies
- Funding emergency medicine research
- Providing continuing medical education (CME) in the form of educational conferences, textbooks, Internet-based training, professional references and periodicals
- Providing public education on emergency care and disaster preparedness
- Publishing Annals of Emergency Medicine, the leading peer-reviewed scientific journal.
This group works to help emergency room physicians get the outside support they need in order to do their work without being interrupted by situations they can not control.
